Design and Display:

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is a huge device with a height of 164.8mm, a width of 77.2 mm, and a thickness of 8.1mm. Talking about the display, Note 20 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch curved Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 3088×1440. The brightness on Note 20 Ultra reaches up to 1500 nits.

120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate:

Performance:

Since Note 20 Ultra is the device to show everything Samsung can include, the device comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor with X55 modem for 5G. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ thing will only be available in North America and few Asian countries like China and South Korea. The rest will have to get a phone with Exynos 990 (including Nepal). The processor is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. There are two storage variants (UFS 3.1) of 128GB and 512GB. If you need more storage, you can even add a microSD card of up to 1TB.

Camera:

The rectangular camera module on the back of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra consists of a primary camera of 108MP with f/1.8 which is capable of recording 8K videos. Then comes a 12MP telephoto lens which has an optical zoom capacity of 5X. However, the digital zoom goes up to 50 times. The 12MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree field-of-view (FOV) is also located to include more scenery in your shots. This time, Samsung has included Laser auto-focus in place of depth sensor for faster auto-focusing. The camera bump is huge as the device is just 8.1mm in thickness. However, such a camera module is prone to screen damage. There’s a 10MP front-facing camera.

Battery:

A 4500mAh battery sits under the hood of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The battery supports charging 25W, wireless charging, and also reverse wireless charging. It can be charged with USB type C cable or wirelessly.

Software:

On the software front, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with OneUI 2.5 which is placed on top of Android 10. One UI 2.5 is lighter and smoother than One UI 2.0.

S-Pen Improvements:

The S-pen latency on the Note 20 Ultra is reduced to 9ms from around 42ms to give a life-like precision. The S-pen has also got a few more gestures for scrolling, opening apps, and system navigation.

Ultra Wide Band (UWB):

Samsung has introduced the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) chip in the Note 20 Ultra. The UWB can be used to communicate with nearby devices in the same radio. It might be used for many other uses in the future, but for now, it can be used to send files to another device by flicking towards the device which it is facing to using Google’s Nearby Share feature.

More Microsoft:

We know about the partnership of Samsung with Microsoft. Samsung device ship with the Microsoft Office apps. This time, the partnerships have grown even much. Samsung Notes will sync to Microsoft’s OneNote later this year. Note 20 series will be more compatible with the ‘Your Phone’ feature in Windows. Using this feature, users can easily sync their devices in the windows and copy pictures, run apps, and even make calls and send messages. As per Samsung, users will be able to run multiple apps on the Windows desktop later this year.

Samsung’s Note 20 series will be compatible with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Microsoft will let Note 20 series users stream hundreds of games for free for three months in xCloud, Microsoft’s game streaming service. Not only this, but Samsung’s Dex service is also now completely wireless.

Others:

Now, let’s talk about IP certification, sensors and others. The device is IP68 water resistance certified. As far as the sensors are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with Ultrasonic fingerprint, NFC, MST, Bluetooth 5.0 and 5G Sub6/mmWave. As you might’ve guessed, there’s no headphone jack on the device.
