Xiaomi has now grown as the top smartphone brand in Nepal. Its sub-brand, Redmi’s Note series has played an immense role in making it the number one. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 was the best selling smartphone in the Nepalese smartphone market in the First Quarter of 2020. Finally, Xiaomi Nepal has brought the new member of the Redmi Note Series in Nepal, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. The company had just launched Mi 10 5G and Mi Note 10 Lite in Nepal.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Overview
Design and Display
Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch Dot display with FullHD+ resolution. Xiaomi calls the 20:9 aspect ratio screen on Redmi Note 9 Pro a cinematic screen. There is a circular cutout at the top center of the screen which frames the 16 MP front camera.
If we talk about the back of the device, a quad camera setup comes in a rounded square module. The Camera module as well as the back panel comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Including the screen of the device, the device contains triple Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
This time, Redmi has placed fingerprint sensor at the right side of the phone. So, you’ll get a side mounted fingerprint scanner on Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Performance
Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. In terms of RAM and Storage, you’ve got two options. For now, the device comes only in 6GB+128GB variant here in Nepal.
Camera
We already stated that Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with quad-camera setup at the back. The main camera sensor is of 48MP which is accompanied by 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. So, the device somes with a 48MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP camera setup. As the primary camera comes with super stabilization, you can capture steady videos using Redmi Note 9 Pro. The ultra-wide camera provides 109-degree FOV. Similarly, macro lens lets you take macro shots at a distance of 2 cm focal length.

Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a massive 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. You can get that 18 watt fast charger in the box. The device comes with Type-C port and includes 3.5mm audio jack port.
As we already mentioned, you can find a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right side of the device. The device is splash proof and has got P2i splash proof rating.
The device is available in three color options – Aurora Black, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black.
