iflix, a Malaysia based Video on Demand (VOD) service will no more be supported by Ncell. Ncell, which partnered in bringing iflix in Nepal decided to stop the service. The company today shared its decision through its Facebook page. The company has apologized for the inconvenience caused.

Headquartered on Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, iflix was established in 2014. With more than 25million monthly active users, currently, iflix is available in 13 different countries.
The platform has a quite decent amount of video content from Hollywood, Bollywood, Korean to Nepalese movies. It also contains numerous web series, TV shows and documentaries. You can also see various iflix Originals in its platform. It is popular in Nepal for releasing movies digitally. Several Nepalese movies made their way through iflix before entering YouTube.
iflix offers both free and VIP versions. You need to have VIP to watch its premium content. You can subscribe to VIP using coupons. Coupons can be bought through some digital wallets.
iflix in Nepal
iflix entered Nepal in partnership with Ncell in October 2017. Ncell promoted iflix and had brought different packages exclusively for iflix. People even got free iflix VIP on signing up with Ncell. But, Ncell now has decided to end its services.
By now, one question might have popped on your mind; if iflix entered Nepal in partnership with Ncell, will iflix shut down its services in Nepal?
Well, no. Though Ncell has decided to stop working with iflix, iflix will still run in Nepal. iflix has made it clear in its Facebook post. iflix says that with the stop of Ncell’s iflix video streaming service with immediate effect, Ncell’s users will no more get iflix VIP for free. However, users can still subscribe to iflix VIP from Khalti, eSewa, Prabhu Pay, and Daraz. You can subscribe to its packages and enjoy the contents as you could do before. If you’ve just subscribed to its package too, you can use the service. So, don’t worry about Ncell’s decision.
